“At Lionsgate Contracting, we are dedicated to fostering healthier communities. From the creation of our recycled fiber-based Masarone artisan floor, to specifying zero VOC coatings, to giving away ‘project waste’ for re-use by others rather than land filling, we are constantly looking for new, better ways to do business that reduce our community’s impact on the earth.”

What We Do

Concrete Restoration

During the life of a concrete structure natural and man-made environmental factors will cause the structure to degrade. Natural site settling, earthquakes, use of heavy equipment, or nearby construction can lead to cracks in the concrete structure. The natural migration of water and chemicals through unprotected concrete on parkade decks, the use of chemical cleaners in food processing areas, thermal shock, and other factors can lead to erosion, spalling, chipping and cracking.

If left unchecked, concrete degradation will lead to structural safety issues, trip and fall hazards, food safety concerns, damage to equipment, higher ongoing maintenance costs, and much higher remediation costs than if the degradation and its causes are addressed early. Whatever the specific case, concrete degradation is a “vicious cycle” in which initial damage increases the concrete’s exposure to the damage causing elements. This accelerates the degrading effects of the conditions that caused the original damage.
